Illinois city scapeIllinois Medical Waste Management | Medical & Biohazardous Waste Disposal

Close to 13 million people call Illinois home according to the US Census Bureau. The Midwestern state, famous for Chicago hot dogs, deep dish pizza, and the only river in the world that flows backwards, is nestled between Wisconsin, Indiana, and the Mississippi River. It is also where we, Daniels Health, call home.

Due to its huge rural land mass, more than 80% of Illinois’ residents live in its cities, making the state a bustling and multicultural center for business and travel. Along with agriculture, education and manufacturing, the Land of Lincoln (coined after our 16th president's birthplace of Springfield) also houses a strong emerging healthcare presence and boasts some of the best health care services in the Midwest with hospitals such as Northwestern Memorial, University of Illinois, Advocate Aurora and Rush University medical center.

This is where we come in... trusted experts in delivering sharps and biohazardous waste disposal solutions for US healthcare. Medical waste is broadly defined as any solid waste that is generated in the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of a human. Medical waste can be identified by one of four different categories: infectious, hazardous, radioactive, and general. In the state of Illinois, PIMW (Potentially Infected Medical Waste) is banned from entering landfills. The Federal Government, State and its local environmental authorities have enforced strict regulations in regards to how this waste is managed and treated. We have the ability to service all areas of Illinois, from Springfield, Elgin, Naperville, Chicago, and everything in between.
