"Reduces our footprint..."

We take pride in improving our environmental footprint; this is one of the reasons we selected Daniels Health for medical waste removal services. Daniels technology reduces our waste footprint and needlestick injuries. Our working relationship with Daniels has been simple, reliable and easy for the hospital. I would readily recommend Daniels to other healthcare facilities.

From switching over to the Daniels Sharpsmart system: in a 12-month period, we reduced our RMW (Regulated Medical Waste) by 58%. That in turn saved our organization nearly $13,000.

"Customer Service Stands Out..."

Daniels' customer service is what stands out in my mind.  If we call for a special request of containers, Daniels is right on the request and taken care of.  That does not even mention how great the containers are. I would definately recommend Daniels

Federal Legislation required to be complied with includes...

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act
The Occupational Health and Safety Act assigns responsibility to employers for providing a safe and healthful workplace. The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulates compliance with the Occupation Health and Safety Act

  • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Costs creates the legal framework for the appropriate management of hazardous and non-hazardous solid waste. EPA and the states verify RCRA compliance with these requirements through a comprehensive compliance monitoring program which includes inspecting facilities, reviewing records and taking enforcement action where necessary.

  • Code of Federal Regulations
The Code of Federal Regulations outlines the regulations around the transportation of regulated medical waste. The US Department of Transportation (DOT) oversees compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations.

In addition to this, each State has its own regulations enforced by their respective Departments of Health and Environmental Protection that potentially adds another layer of red tape that can be difficult for health facilities to manage.
