What is USP Chapter 800?

USP Chapter 800 sets the framework for creating the standard operating procedures for how facilities handle Hazardous Drugs in a healthcare setting. This new standard has identified a list of 'hazardous drugs' which are separate from what we have previously understood as hazardous, and has dictated new waste handling pathways for PPE, Packaging and other items that have come in contact with the substances.
