Medical & Biohazardous Waste Disposal in Norfolk
Norfolk is the second-largest city in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Throughout the city you can spot their enchanting town symbol, the mermaid. The strong maritime theme is directly related to it being home to the largest naval base in the world, Naval Station Norfolk – covering approximately 2,400 acres!
We love walking through Norfolk for many reasons other than to see how many mermaids we can spot. The historic Ghent district is an architecture lover’s dream as it provides well-preserved examples of Colonial, Tudor, Victorian and more architectural styles. The range in buildings doesn't stop there. We love to escape to the Pagoda and Oriental Garden for some tranquility and tea. It may look a little out of place, but it was a gift to Norfolk in 1983 from the government of Taiwan – pretty awesome gift, right?
Aside from the feast of architectural diversity in Norfolk, the city has a strong hold on the medical industry. For example, Eastern Virginia Medical school, which is an internationally recognized research institute, is located here. The level of excellence continues with the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter (CHKD). CHKD provide peace of mind for parents all over the world as a leading pediatric hospital for their little loved ones.
We too are passionate about excellence in healthcare, and this is where our story begins
Norfolk Healthcare Waste Management with a difference.
When solutions don’t eliminate the problem, innovation must happen. Daniels Health witnessed that sharps injuries were still occurring among healthcare workers who were using standard single-use plastic disposal containers. Our founder knew we could do better. We started over 30 years ago by getting feedback from clinicians like you on what safety features would make a difference in their lives. Our reusable containers were created with your feedback in mind: impenetrable plastic, leakproof seals, overfill protection, and more. Present day, we are proud that our solutions have been scientifically proven to increase the safety of healthcare workers, lower the risk of infection, and reduce sharps injuries. As a full healthcare waste management partner, we will never stop innovating solutions to increase your safety and peace of mind.
