Clinical Trials in Hospital Systems

Daniels Health utilizes trial periods to assess the match between your current medical waste system and our clinically engineered containers, ensuring right-fit prior to system-wide rollout.

Product Trials in Hospital Systems

Daniels commonly proposes a 90-day clinical trial to help hospitals evaluate the safety, operational, and workflow impact of our sharps and clinical waste containment systems. This structured evaluation allows clinical and laboratory teams to assess real-world performance, including effects on waste flow, staff handling, safety of use, and fill utilization.

While the 90-day model is frequently used, it is one of several trial frameworks we offer and can be adapted to meet your system’s operational and governance requirements. The result is a controlled, low-risk evaluation grounded in clinical workflow and operational impact, giving leadership clear data to support decision-making.

A Typical Trial Includes:

Ward Walk and Scope Definition

Daniels conducts a focused Ward Walk with unit leaders to assess current waste practices, confirm point-of-use placement, right-size container needs, and validate storage and collection workflows.

Defined Trial Parameters

Selected waste streams, participating facilities (typically five to ten), and measurable success criteria are agreed upon in advance.

Installation and Transition

Daniels installs trial-selected waste containers and temporarily removes incumbent systems to avoid confusion and ensure accurate, reliable trial data.

On-Site Training & Support

In-person education supports correct use and consistent adoption during the trial period.

Performance Review & Executive Debrief

After 90 days, Daniels consolidates clinical and EVS evaluations and reviews trial metrics with leadership. If the solution is not deemed a right fit, Daniels restores the original system at no cost.

Trials that scale with confidence.

Daniels runs structured trials grounded in real clinical workflows. We start with a Ward Walk to confirm placement, handling logistics, and compliance, then define a clear scope and success measures.
