Increasing labor costs, price surges, and unreliable supply chains– Sound familiar?

Between price surges, needlestick injuries and improper waste segregation medical waste management can be incredibly costly.

Our Secure Supply Chain

Over the last year blockages of major trade routes and global shortages of single-use plastic containers have shown that a reliable supply chain has never been more important to healthcare. With a national servicing infrastructure, we provide a secure approach to healthcare waste management though our patented reusable waste containers. Our reliable and consistent service-based model allows Daniels to provide on-time service and prevent any price-surging.

What is the average cost of a needlestick injury?

In the US, the estimated cost of a single needlestick injury (NSI) treatment ranges between US $500 to US $3,000. These costs, however, do not account for long-term treatment costs associated with illness contracted from the injury or litigation and compensation costs. According to the American Hospital Association, one case of serious infection by blood borne pathogens can cost US $1 million or more in expenditures for testing, follow-up tests, lost time, and disability payments1.  Leveraging these costs, the annual economic burden of NSIs in the US was estimated to be between US$118 million to US$591 million (based on national occurrence of 236,000 cases)2 For the more serious cases, however, the costs can far exceed the average.

Proper Waste Segregation

Effective Medical Waste Segregation is an essential step in optimizing costs in medical waste disposal. Daniels Health provides expertise within each facility we work with to train clinical and non-clinical staff, provide e-learning courses and educational resources, and empower cognitive behavioral change in the safe disposal and correct segregation of all healthcare waste streams.

In addition to this, when it comes to your healthcare waste removal or disposal, compliance is key. Daniels Health is here to help guide you through the often-confusing mass of federal and state regulations when it comes to waste segregation, waste stream management, and healthcare waste management methodologies.
