Frequently Asked Questions

What are the regulatory requirements for dialysate waste disposal?

In most states, the liquid itself, spent dialysate, typically goes to the sanitary sewer and isn’t classified as regulated medical waste (RMW). But anything the dialysate touches that also contacted blood is RMW and must be handled accordingly. State regulations vary, and Daniels will sort out classification for your facility during onboarding.
