Sharps Injury (SI) rates

are alarmingly high.

  • Over 300,000 healthcare workers sustain SI annually – 800 every day.

  • SI incidence has plateaued in recent years, and in some databases, risen.

  • SED’s are in many cases not being used, or used incorrectly.

This unnecessary exposure of healthcare workers to SI and potentially life threatening disease is unacceptable - It’s not OK. Many healthcare facilities are frustrated at not seeing SI rates decrease, and are challenged with accessing resources to address the issue. Daniels Health are proud to bring together three international experts to discuss this disturbing trend, and to provide knowledge and proven practical tools for combatting this issue in your facility.
